Drury Plaza Hotel

A new Drury Plaza Hotel is set to open in August 2025. Drury Plaza Hotels are considered 4-star hotels due to their service and amenities. They are known for excellent customer service and are typically rated very high for customer satisfaction.

The hotel will be near the Convention Center, The Ripken Experience baseball fields, The Island, and just a short drive to Dollywood. Numerous restaurants are nearby.

Embassy Suites, a Hilton property, has just opened this month (May). It’s a 3-star hotel with very high customer satisfaction ratings – 4.7/5.0 stars on Google.

We stayed at this hotel recently, and loved it! Great customer service, convenient to everything, beautiful, and dog-friendly…it’s a great place to stay.

Pro Tip

This Embassy Suites Hotel has the best breakfast I’ve ever had at a hotel. There’s a buffet line, a made-to-order omelette station, waffles, cereal, pastries, bagels, coffee, juice, and more. And the food tastes great!

Plus, the breakfast area takes up half of the 7th floor, with wall-to-wall windows offering up spectacular views of the Great Smoky Mountains. You can even dine on the outdoor patio.

A 3-star hotel, TownPlace is near the Ripken Experience baseball park, and just down the street from both The Island and the Convention Center. Several restaurants are just a short drive away. Plus, it’s next door to the Food City grocery store.

The island-themed hotel is spectacular. Our room was large and very comfortable. The lobby has an abundance of couches, chairs, TVs, a convenience store, a bar and grill, and Jimmy Buffett singing on video screens on every wall. I felt like I was in the Florida Keys!

The Cambria Hotel, Pigeon Forge, considered a 3-star hotel, opened in October 2024. It is near The Island, a Pigeon Forge destination offering shopping, dining, attractions, and music. It’s also just up the street from the Convention Center, and down the street from The Ripken Experience baseball park.

Cambria Hotels boast a modern, boutique vibe that is popular with their guests, earning them a 4.7/5.0 customer satisfaction rating on Google.

Customers appreciate the kitchens, including a refrigerator in each room. Unusually, Staybride Suites allows both dogs and cats. While many hotels are pet-friendly, it can be challenging to find one that specifically welcomes cats. Meow!

You can’t go wrong with any of these hotels. Compass Hotel has the best pool. Embassy Hotel has the best breakfast and views. Cambria has the boutique vibe going for it. TownePlace and Staybridge are both great for extended stays. And Drury Plaza Hotels have an excellent reputation.

We’ve stayed at both the Compass Hotel and the Embassy Suites. I would not hesitate to recommend both of them!
