Greystone Lodge on the River

Along the walk to Parkway you’ll pass the Log Cabin Pancake House and the Gatlinburg Convention Center…and the Crazy Mason Milkshake Bar. (You should stop there…really…it’s crazy good!)
The suites at the Fairfield feature the expected amenities. The hotel also offers a complimentary breakfast, a fitness center, and an outdoor pool.

The 0.5-mile walk from the Fairfield to Parkway is all downhill, which means, of course, it’s all uphill on the way back to the hotel. You can drive, but that means $10-$20 in parking fees. Or, you can catch a ride on the trolley, which travels continuously up Airport Road.

The Bearskin Lodge is in a great location. It’s located on River Road, just a block off Parkway, so you can avoid the traffic and crowds. It’s just two blocks to the trailhead for the Gatlinburg Trail in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. And it’s next door to The Peddler Steakhouse, which is a wonderful place to eat!
Two types of suites are available – the Junior King Suite and the King Suite. Both include hardwood floors, custom oak furniture, and all of the usual amenities. The King Suite, however, includes a balcony overlooking the West Prong of the Little Pigeon River.
